Is it OK to pressure wash decking?
The answer is yes. When cleaning wooden decking you can clean with hot and low pressure water, but the correct pressure has to be used in the process. With the incorrect pressure damage will occur to the surface and wood splinters will appear. That is when our company gets called to sort out the issue.
The most common problem our company comes across with deck cleaners is applying a wood stainer or clear anti slip to the surface and the wood has not dried out properly which in turn will cause patches and bubbles. The only cleaning process to rectify the process is low pressure high temperature steam cleaning.
Composite Decking Cleaning in Cornwall and Devon
Composite decking is a long lasting, durable product if looked after with the correct maintenance. Unlike wooden decking, composite decking is made with part recycle plastic and real wood fibres, bonding agents and other additives.
Composite decking is a good choice material which is low maintenance and used widely on caravans sites across Cornwall and Devon.

Our cleaning process
With composite decking cleaning, we use a soft wash solution with our own cleaning products to gently remove algae and dirt build up. Once cleaning has taken place we will use low pressure to rinse down the decking and rails.
